Young Justice: Most Powerful Members of the Team

With the recent release of the third season of the formerly cancelled popular superhero series, Young Justice, fans everywhere are excited about how much better the characters have become. The new season, termed Young Justice: Outsiders, have also introduced some new characters to the show. These characters bring about a new layer we never knew we wanted into the series. However, in this list, I'm going to be ranking the 15 most powerful members of the team. This includes every single person that has ever been a member of the Young Justice team as well as the new team recently formed by Nightwing.

15. Garfield Logan - Beast Boy
Garfield was a simple Quraci resident tending to his mom's animal sanctuary until he received a blood transfusion from Ms. Martian which granted him the ability to shapeshift into any animal he wants. He first appeared in episode 21 of season 1, images, when the team was on a mission to curb the Bialyan/Quraci merger deal. But he get to see him among the team in the first episode of the second season, Happy New year.
It was made clear later on in the season that his mother had died in a car accident prompting him to join his blood sister, M'gann, in the team. Garfield cannot just shapeshift into Earth's animals, he can also shapeshift into animals of other planets. This would make him a formidable foe in the eyes of any opponent and with the training he received with Nightwing, he can hold his own in hand-to-hand combat.

14. Jefferson Pierce - Black Lightning
Black Lightning was a member of the Justice League until he unwittingly killed a 10-year old girl who was a victim of metahuman trafficking. The guilt from this event made him to lose his powers prompting him to leave the Justice League. He would decide to be leave the hero-life until he regained his powers on a mission with Nightwing's new team.
Jefferson, as his alias implies, can control lightning. And not just ordinary lightning, he can control and generate literal black lightning. Being in the Justice League for years would mean that he also had enough fighting prowess to hold his own without his superhuman abilities.

13. Rocket - Raquel Ervin
Rocket, along with Zatanna, had left the team to join the Justice League after the end of season 1. She was a sidekick to the superhero, Icon, until she had joined the team in episode 25 of season 1 when Icon joined the Justice League.
We didn't get to see stay long in the team but the little we got to see of her is enough to grant her this spot. Unlike Zatanna, Rocket had already honed her entire skillset before she joined the team. She can create and manipulate force fields which enables her to fly, shoot beams from her hand and trap people in a force field. A special feature of her force fields is the more you hit it, more powerful it becomes, so don't get trapped in one.

12. Forager - Fred Bugg

Just like Black Lightning, Forager is a new member of Nightwing's new team. He is a habitat of the planet, New Genesis. Unfortunately, he was deemed a traitor of his species when he sided with the team on a space mission. Thus, he was banished from his planet and was made to live with M'gann and Superboy and join Nightwing's new team.
Forager is a member of the insect species of New Genesis. This doesn't  just make him to look like a bug, it gives him enhanced strength and durability. He can also roll up into a ball form, much like an armadillo, to protect himself from attacks. In that form, he can also strike opponents with much momentum as he moves in fast speed.

11. Brion Markov - Geo-force
Brion Markov is the former prince of Markovia. He was banished by his brother, the king, when he gained metahuman powers in order to protect his country. Unfortunately, his plan went awry when his anger would not let him think rationally causing him to simultaneously expose his corrupt metahuman uncle and get himself banished from Markovia due to being metahuman.
As his code name implies, Brion has geo-force powers. He can manipulate as well as generate lava. He is also quite strategically skilled but, at the same time, irrational and impatient. If only he could learn to control his emotions, he would be probably be higher on this list.

10. Artemis Crock - Tigress

Artemis is the second female character to join the first incarnation of the Young Justice team. She is the daughter of the villain, Sportsmaster and sister of assassin and sometimes anti-hero, Cheshire (Jade Huygens). She was first introduced into the team as the niece of Green Arrow to protect her villain-related identity.
When she was first introduced, she was an almost perfect archer lacking only the experience of Green Arrow and Red Arrow. Eventually, when she took up the Tigress persona, she became a better hand-to-hand combatant with the ability to utilise her body as a weapon rather than fight with only bows and arrows. She would be the most powerful non-metahuman in this list if not for [SPOILER].

9. Kid Flash - Wally West

Wally West, along with Dick Grayson and Aqualad, is one of the founding member of the team. He was originally the sidekick of the Flash, Barry Allen until he, Robin and Aqualad founded the team. Unfortunately, he died at the end of season 2 because he wasn't fast enough to develop enough kinetic energy compared to Barry and Impulse.
Wally is Kid Flash. He has the speed imbued in him, giving an incredibly fast metabolism. Wally is no where as fast as Barry but he is said to be gas enough to easily break the sound barrier. That means, he is way faster than the speed of sound. Here's to hoping he eventually returns.

8. Impulse/ Kid Flash - Bart Allen

Bart Allen is the grandson of Barry Allen from the future. He left the miserable future he lives in to our, well, happier present. Although, he claimed to have come to stop Blue Beetle from becoming the Earth's dominator, I don't think his true reasons for being in this present are unknown.
Impulse is probably as fast as Barry Allen himself. He was able to keep up with Barry on multiple occasions proving that he may be just as fast or as powerful. But as his name would imply, he is quite impulsive and tends to do things without properly thinking it through. Nevertheless, his time with the team helped him with this problem and he became less prone to feeling the mode.

7. Robin/ Nightwing - Dick Grayson

Okay, Dick can totally take on anyone in this list, including the ones I have mentioned, the ones I will mention and the ones i will not mention. Dick Grayson was initially trained by Batman as Robin until he had become Nightwing. As mentioned earlier, he was one of the founding members of the team, alongside Aqualad and Wally West.
Dick Grayson was trained by Batman and later Black Canary, when he became part of the team. He has the best fighting skills in the team and can probably take down anyone, even some people in the Justice League. He is one of the few non-metahumans on the team, and if not for that he'd probably be no.1 on this list.

6. Aqualad - Kaldor'ann

Kaldor, also known as, Aqualad, is an atlantean and the former sidekick of Aquaman. He is also a founding member of the team as well as its first leader. Kaldor is lol a big brother to everyone in the team and he is amd has always been the most mature member of the team.
Just like every atlantean, he has the ability to breathe underwater and has slightly advanced strength compared to regular humans. He was also trained in Mera's school of magic where he learnt how to project water and hone his fighting skills. But all those are nothing compared to his leadership. He was the first leader of the team. He promised to give the mantle to Nightwing but he had done such a good job that Nightwng refused it. Eventually, he went in to lead the Justice League. Gotta respect that.

5. Wonder Girl - Cassandra Sandsmark

Cassandra is the sidekick of Wonder Woman. We didn't get to see her alot but the very little we saw of her proves how powerful she is. We do not know of she is the first or the second sidekick of Wonder Woman. If she is the second sidekick, that would mean Donna Troy was available during the 5-year interval between Season 1 and Season 2 bit that's a story for another day.
She has all the abilities of Wonder Woman which includes Superstrength,  super fast reflexes, flight, durability and stamina. She also has a lasso and unbreakable bracelets of her own.

4. Superboy - Connor Kent

Connor Kent is the first rescue mission of the team. He was rescued by Aqualad, Robin and Wally West when they went on their first mission together. He is a clone created by Cadmus. He shares the DNA of both Superman and Lex Luthor making him half-human and half-kryptonian.
Due to his kryptonian origins, he has only a few kryptonian abilities which include superstrength, durability, stamina and infra-red vision. His human parental heritage prevents him from having all the kryptonian abilities. Nevertheless, due to the training he has received from Black Canary, he is a very good hand-to-hand combatant.

3. Halo - Gabrielle Doau/ Violet Harper

Halo was a Quraci immigrant until she was kidnapped and tested for metahuman trafficking. Her metahuman powers didn't manifest and she was abandoned to be buried. That was when she was spotted by Artemis who saved her from being buried alive. Although, she would have probably survived on her own.
It's has been said that Halo was granted the powers of a mother-box, one of the most advanced forms of technology created in the planet, New Genesis. She has a wide array of abilities which include, force field creation, healing and regeneration, ability to shoot beams from her hand, creation of holograms of herself and magic, I think. She is yet to discover all of her powers and that's what makes her more exciting, powerful and dangerous.

2. Blue Beetle - Jaime Reyes

Jaime Reyes is the second blue beetle. His spine is bonded to a sentient Scarab which grants him a highly advanced armour that would put Iron Man's armour to shame. His Scarab would be corrupted and lead him to betray the team, but when he was cleansed of the Reach's influence, he gained mire control of the Scarab.
As previously mentioned, the Scarab gives him an almost impenetrable armour. But that is just the tip of the iceberg, he can also understand every language in the galaxy, shoot sonic beams from his armour, fly and move at supersonic speeds. The Scarab is basically the most intelligent artificial intelligence in the galaxy.

1. M'gann M'orzz - Miss Martian
M'gann is the first girl to join the initial incarnation of the team. She had initially called herself the niece of Martain Manhunter, but truly, as was revealed later in the first season, she is a white Martian who was racially persecuted. This made her to sneak into J'onn J'onzz's ship to Earth. She claimed to be one of his many nieces from Mars.
She has all the powers you would expect from a Martian. These include, shapeshifting, telepathy, superstrength, flight and telekinesis. Her telepathic abilities are the most powerful in series. That is actually because the show is not focused on Martian Manhunter of the Justice League. Nevertheless, she is a very powerful and valuable asset to the team anytime. This is why she is the most powerful member of the team.

And that's the list. What do you think about it? Is there anyone who's not supposed to be there? Or is there anyone I missed. Let me know.in the comments below. Also make sure to share the post through your various social media platforms. And suggest what kinds of lists you want me to make and I will take it into consideration.
